I just finished my afterburner install. (www.tritonlabs.com) anyway, after doing it i gained some modding confidence. is the soldering required for this project like the soldering required for an m2 or magic 3 mod?

i dont know about the afterburner...but m2/mag3.x is REALLY hard.
you have to solder to pins that are less .2mm apart, a lot of em. i dont think the afterburner has things that small. :)
yea those bios pins were really scary... but i was looking around and now that there are alternatives (on underside of mobo) all soldering can be done on padsQuote:

anyone?? the points that I had to solder to on the gba were about 2mm wide. is this what i could except on a ps2 modchip install? (i have a v7, so i could install to bios from underside of motherboard)
They dont even compare to each other. The GBA was very easy to install and even with mods to the cover it was very simple.
Best advice is to take your ps2 apart and get a feel for how small it really is. Read up, use the guides and search the forums. Modding the ps2 is not toughest thing in the world, but if you rush or get impatient you will be posting for help.
Good Luck if you go for it.
will do, when i open it up, i'll take a peek at the points to see if i have the courage to attempt an install :)
