Hey, Just chipped a V12 with a crystal chip, and loaded up the modded bios update, plays back ups beautifully. However, I also ordered a V12 diode fix from the place I got the chip, and this thing didn't come with any schematics, also it do4esn't resemble any of the other diode fixes I've seen. It's an L shaped PCB, bronze colored and has a chip on it with the characters LA6508 (RII) Anybody familiar with these, and how to install them?

    Thanks Guys....

Can you take a picture of it? It sounds like a pic fix.

Does it look like this? http://modchip.com/installpics/laser...neofix-v12.jpg

    Just solder to those points.

TO7N, That's not what it looks like. I ordered this thing from Modchip world and even the photo they show of the supposed item, doesn't resemble what I was sent. I'll take a photo of it here shortly and post it in this thread.

    Thanks, Jimmerz

The resolution isn't the greatest, as I have it cranked down to fit more photos on the mini-cds. If you need a better pic, let me know, and I'll bump the res. and take another pic. Thanks, Jimmerz

Yep, Just checked your link, that's exactly what they sent me. Seems as though they are pricey little buggers though, aren't they? I guess the error was somewhat inb my favor as I was only charged $4.99 USD for this item, however it doesn't do me much good as I currently don't need it. Looks like I'll have to order the correct diode fix. Thanks for the quick answer my friend!

Any of you guys know of a place on the East coast in the US where I can order a V12 Diode, pay via paypal, and have it in a couple of days? Seems everytime I order modchips or components, my order gets screwed up, or it takes forever to get. Tony, I see from your posts you're an installer, you have any of these in stock? Also you do any chip sales? I'm looking for a new outlet for chips. Thanks, Jimmerz

Hey guys, another ? here. This PS TWO I just chipped is a SCPH-70012, the board is a GH-0035 . I'm not so sure this one even needs the Diode fix, any of you veteran PS TWO modders know for sure. I've done about 80 PS2 installs, but this was my first PS TWO, not near as bad I'd thought it might be. Thanks Again, Jimmerz

Yep, that's an LA replacement. I have a Neofix XIII for sale. It's a pic fix with diode fix as well. It will prolong the life of your laser.
