?? about romeo mod

I have a ver 9 ps2. Should i do the romeo mod before or after i put in a mod chip?

I suggest doing it before modding. Then test the machine. Any error pops up you can be sure it's because of the romeo mod and not because of the mod chip installation. Easier to fix/search the problem. Oh, and do not forget to meassure the coils before doing anything.
