About magic3 switch diagram
About magic3 switch diagram –
Just about to do the switch thing. This is the diagram I get:
The red line is what the diagram says cut. But I wonder why not cut +5V from the blue line? If cut +5V at red line, pin 3, 4 will still be at +5V, is that for a reason?
After all, to turn magic3 chip off, we need connect GND to +5V on magic 3 chip, right? Then why we need cut anything? We can connect:
+5V from mother board ---------- switch left
+5V from magic3 ----------- -switch mid
GND from motherboard/magic3 (they are connected) -------- switch right
am I right?
Anybody have done this, please help me.
You should not cut the blue line or cut power to the chip. This will cause your playstation to black screen on everything. Cutting from the red line will ground the mclr pin, which will put the chip in "sleep mode". "Sleep mode" meaning the chip is still powered but not doing anything.
Really... I don't know that... Thanks for telling me before I do something stupid
