About installation picture in ps2newZ.net modchip review...

I just found this installation picture of the MagicV on a V5 console and it's stated that the chip works perfect at each reset with that install in the review section. But I see you guys placed the chip somewhere other than the recomended place. I placed it where it is asked to( recomended place ), however, reliability does not satisfy me. It doesn't work at each reset! So, would you think I should reinstall it like it is shown in this picture? But aren't the wires too long in the pic??? Btw, for 3.3V I use the point just under where Y is soldered. Would that be the problem? If this install in the pic is Ok I will reinstall it just like in the pic to see if there will be any improvement...
