I have been reading about that. But I would like to get this chip working. I hate to give 65.00 for it and then throw it in a drawer to be forgoten. Just makes me want to hang it up and use the old 30-06 on it and the company.

Your alternative is install a MODBO 4 chip, its like a Matrix and you can find diagrams everywhere.
If you can get an original Green Point MATRIX 1.93 that is all you need.

After install ANY modchip you have to protect your LA from burnout, just lift 17 pin from mobo and conect it to 5volts(to PS8,conect pin,not pad), or youll have a dead lens + dead LA 6508.
No matter if you use originals or backups, its a design faillure from 50 model youll have to correct that way.

He already has a DMS4 PRO (EZI), which is still worlds better compared to a modbo.
Why should he even think about buying that utter crap, when he can make a 'solder-version' out of his 'EZI-Version'?

As far as I am aware, all you have to do is remove the plastic clips from the PCB, exposing the solder pads and then treat it like a regular DMS4.

An installation guide for a v9 console can be found here: http://www.mod-chip.bz/PS2/images/DM...9_diagrams.zip
