39003 or 3003r ?

Hi
I have just bought a new pal ps2 from Argos and instead of it being the current V7 it is a 3003r V5/6. It must be some older stock they have. With reference to the quality of the laser and compatability with a messiah 2 pro what do you guys suggest?
Keep it or swop it for the v 7?

keep it some v7 have trouble reading disc v5 maybe a bit better

I agree with ps2guy. But go back to Argos and get £20 back on the basis that the model is not the latest by around 7 months.
