2nd controller port won't work after magic 2 installation
A little less than a year ago, I got the Magic 2 chip for my v5 Ps2. Since I'm no good at soldering, I found a local electronic repair store in town that said they have put these chips into Playstations before and that they would put mine in. Everything appeared to be fine playing one player games, except that the controller wouldn't vibrate (you know, with dual shock controllers) which didn't really bother me that much.
However, the other day I tried to play a two player game (Enter the Matrix) with one of my friends and found that the 2nd controller had no response from any of the buttons. I tried different controllers and different games, but nothing worked; the 2nd controller port is dead. I gues this is the first time I've tried to play with two players on my Ps2. To me, this sounds like the store that installed it messed up on a solder point and that is why the 2nd controller port is dead. First question, does this sound like an installation problem? 2nd question, is the 2nd controller port permanantly dead? If its not permanantly dead, how easy would it be to fix? Please Help!
