2 mod questions

hey guys..

im on the verge of buying a chip for my v12. i was almost going to buy a crystal because that was the only chip available to me. i'm able to get most chips now and only the matrix/crystal have drawn my attention.

1. i read the the infinity can do a direct boot to media without mode swapping.. i couldn't find anything like that on the crystal. is this a good thing?

2. the crystal doesn't come with a hacked bios, you have to download this. does the inifinity come pre-flashed with a cracked bios or not?

im after peoples oppinions on these chips pretty much. how are the reliabilities etc...

1. Infinities can, I believe the crystal will as well. I'm not positive
2. Yes, it comes with a "cracked" bios, although it's not cracked. The official matrix BIOS boots backups, unlike crystal chip's.

There are instructions on the infinity website that can tell you how to flash a homebrew infinity. Its a nice chip IMO.

It was unlike crystal chips. He didn't spell it right but thats ok. We all make mistakes.

Not exactly. Each BIOS has it's own points of interest. Crystal BIOS lets you use the BootManager app. Matrix has a nice configuration screen and plenty of options. But if you flash the cracked BIOS, it will boot backups, so in that sense they are identical.

It should be. You can search the forums for the hacked bios. I have heard the bootman software that comes with the firmware is nice. I hope this helps.
