2 * v12 dead PIC fix

hi can someone help me? i have modified 5 of v12(70004) last week with 560R + matrix pic fix. now 2 come back with problems, it can't read any discs even original disc. what's my problem? i use matrix infinite. i have taken out the modchip and 12c508 but still can't read any disc; is that the laser head fired?

Take a look at the laser lens...is it black-ish???Measure the laser coils,are they over 5ohms.......black lens & low ohms on coils are symptons of adead laser

well first to check that it's spining the disc if it's not then ps14 is blown. Does it keep sayubg tring to read disc is broswer or only for a split second

i use a 1.5k resistor on the pic chip, the pic work fine(i test before). i tried swap the old laser on the new slim ps2, not work, and try install a new laser on burned ps2 not working too. so i think the motherboard and laser all burn out.

U have to measure the coil resistances and post them.

U used 560R fix on tracking? did it save the tracking coils?
Which coils burnt - tracking or focus??

here are the resistances u should measure with the orange laser ribbon cable plugged in:

RESISTANCE BETWEEN RED CIRCLES=____
RESISTANCE BETWEEN GREEN CIRCLES=____

And have the laser plugged in on the other side of the board!!!

Did the coils die at all or was it another part then?

so are you meant to use a 560R and a 1500R? where can i find doco's on that?

and USA.. you did actually program the chips didn't you? i've heard of people who just put them in without programming them.

i got around 1.5ohms from the tracking driver, and 2 ohms from focus. of course i programming the pic, i know how to programming. i am not a newbie. now i need to buy two new slim ps2.
