1.8M ohm the same as 1.8K ohm?

Just curious if there is a difference between the two. I was just at a local Fry's electronics and they don't seem to carry 1.8K but rather 1.8M Ohm 1/4 5% WATT Carbon Filk Resistor. Sorry if this topic was already covered but I did a search and could only come up with some guy buying his resistors at Fry's as well but he had the 1.8K rather than the 1.8M.

There sure is - 1.8k is 1800 ohms, and 1.8M is 1.8 million ohms. If you use a 1.8M instead on a 1.8K it will be like a open circuit.

I am sorry to hear that. I aldready collected maybe all of the 1.8k and 560 and some 2k at most Fry hehehe
