Ok, as alot of people are having trouble, just use the poll or better yet - post the number of 12.2 ps2s having trouble with 1.8k versus the ones not having trouble.

I had no problems using 1.8k on a few machines. Dunno if it makes a difference, but my resistors are 0.6w with 1% tolerance. Maybe people with problems are using 5% tolerance resistors due to more wild ohm swings with a worst tolerance value? I mean a 18+- ohm swing compared to 90 +- ohm swing can make a big difference i guess. Just a suggestion so don't quote me on it.

I just used 2k since I couldn't find 1.8k and I have not experience any problems so far.

What would have happened is that your drive will act as if nothing was inserted.
