I had no problems using 1.8k on a few machines. Dunno if it makes a difference, but my resistors are 0.6w with 1% tolerance. Maybe people with problems are using 5% tolerance resistors due to more wild ohm swings with a worst tolerance value? I mean a 18+- ohm swing compared to 90 +- ohm swing can make a big difference i guess. Just a suggestion so don't quote me on it.
I just used 2k since I couldn't find 1.8k and I have not experience any problems so far.
I held off doing any v12's till last week, now done 3 with 1.8k (+ 2 with 560), 0.25W and 1% tolerance, no problems what-so-ever, cheers Summ0ne!
i used 1.8K, pstwo worked fine.
if it didnt happen to work, what would happen on screen? would it not play backups?
What would have happened is that your drive will act as if nothing was inserted.
