    Hello,
until now I was happy w/o a modchip. Got HD-Loader DVD v1.0, 120GByte Maxtor and Independence Exploit.
Now I have some money left over. I wanted to buy an ***4 E.Z.I. because I got absolutely no soldering skills. But the price (it´s something about 90 Euros or so) is a bit too high. I also got a Shop in my Neighbourhood which installs the O2Mod for 100 Euros.
Do anyone know if the price of the E.Z.I. will fall or should I get a O2Mod for my v4 PAL PS2.
    Thx in advance,
    Schnitzel

Well there was a company named neoasic that made them for the messiah2, magic 3.x series and the ***3. They did require a few wires to be soldered and you had to solder the clip to the modchip. They were ok but they could come off and causing it to fry it. Now I am not saying that neoasic is a bad company but the clip kits weren't the best. I would recommend the o2 mod being installed by a local shop because you get a modchip installed by a professional. I dont trust the reliability on the ezi chips. Plus it is not a bad price but you do get a mod installed by someone who can stand by his work and if there is an problems you can have it fixed. I hoped this helped for you.

Thanks for the answers. I think I will go for the O2Mod. It´s a very good chip from what I heard and the 10 bucks extra won´t kill my portemonnaie.
