Just as the subject says. The console is BRAND NEW so faulty laser is ruled out. Is this common for ******2 gold or perhaps something badly soldered (if this is the case why do cd-rs work) ??!! I used the ps2 pcb's brown edge for GND, didn't want to scrape the spot in the diagrams. does this make a difference?
Really strange r.ipper2 are really goods chip they work like a charm i've tried them on v3 to V10 never had a prob!!
I've heard that there is a lot of r.ipper clone are you sure it's original??
There'is 5 bridges to solder i've read clone have already 2-3 bridge done and yours??
[Have you tried to start the game "fast boot".
Keep "select" while you are pressing on "reset".
This is a common ´problem´with V9 and V10.
u always have to "fastboot" with dvd-r games,it says so on the r.ipper site ,this is because of the less wires u use to hook up the chip.

A second method is booting the PS2 into the browser screen, after that put in a dvd, it should recognize it and press X to boot ......
It suffers the same bug as the dms 3 v1.8 upgrade, funny that......
I've also fit quite a few, good chip, i'm sure once DMS fix there bug, r.ipper will no doubt *ahem* fix theres.
