What are the must have for my CC 1.1?

Ok so i just got a PS2 with CC 1.1 Lite, the guy who installed it told me i can't boot PS1 but obviously i've thought about changing bios and all...now i'm all confused i see firmware v19 and BM... So i thought simply, haven't checked the scene for like 4 months and even then i was mostly playing games!

What are the things i should get to do the following with my PS2: (order of priority)
-Playing backup/imports PS2/PSX
-Play online with backups
-Have the best game and apps compatibility up-to-date
-Mess around with emus, cool apps, homebrews

I'd really appreciate if you guys could give me some hint and also, if possible links to them files. Thanks a lot!!!

find the hacked r19 firmware with bootmanager 1.8 included. that'll take care of 3 things on that list right there
