I have a slimmed ps2 model scph 75004 and don't know what cd's to use. I've tried all kinds of brands (dvd's) memorex, verbatim, traxdata.. do anyone now what i should use if i want to play my copied games or my copied music on it?

Verbatim is the best choice of the brands you mentioned. Memorex are mostly crap, and Traxdata isn't the best choice too, imho.

I only use Verbatim for quite a while now, and never had problems with them. I tried Memorex once, but my PS2 didn't like them at all. And since my laser already burned once, I only use 1st class media for my PS2.

oh ok, but i forgot to mention that neither of these works for me. I have sevral ps1 games that works fine, but som not. Ofcourse these are not dvd's. The brand on the cd-r cd's that work for me is mostly memorex, so thats why i tried their dvd's, but it didn't work.. this is getting on my nerves.. =(

Which program do you use to burn your PS1 games?
I only managed to backup mine with CloneCD, Nero didn't work at all.
It also didn't work with my DVD-burner, the only way I can backup PS1 games is to use CloneCD and my CD-RW/DVD combo drive.

One of the most helpful resources regarding burners and media is theThe Dolphin tells it like it is.... thread on RFD.

However, since this thread is HUGE (3839 posts since June 2004 to this moment -- and counting...) and things do change over time, I highly suggest starting at the last post and working your way backwards.
