Installed a CC2.0 in my v14 this week. The bios check was fine, green light on the chip blinked once. Proceeded with rest of wires, then to the NEO XIV. at the test point for the NEO things went wrong. no power lights at all. Started checking fuses with a meter and the power light would come on when grounding the NEO to other places on the PCB. Redid the ground of the NEO, but the reset switch didn't act right, would not turn on consistently and would not stay glowing green. I finished the rest of the wires and unbridged teh NEO anyways, reassembled, but the power red light would not come on, and same thing, the green reset button light would come on for one second then go off. No disc spinning or laser activity at all. I have removed all the wires and the CC and the NEOFIX. Same problem. Reset gives me a green light for one second, nothing else. Double checked all the solder points. NO bridges. All fuses I can find check out ok. Seems like I fryed something, but I'm not sure what. Any suggestions?

Why must this be said so many times? No laser fixes on v13+! It's just a sales gimmick.

I had this happen to a couple of V12's with the comsoft fix, it turned out to be a fuse. I believe its the PS14 definitly. You need to replace it with a 2.5 amp fuse or a PS14 from a organ donor

Is the PS14 fuse the one just below and left of the PS14 silkscreen with a "50" on it?
I haven't changed a fuse like this before, do you unsolder the legs from the front or the back? also, the continuity check there is ok, can a fuse be bad and have no resistance? Thanks for the quick responses. Unfortunately, the CC instructions given me stated the laserfix was needed
here's a pic of my PCB if it helps.

Can't hurt to replace it but im positive thats the problem ur looking at. The fuse should have a PS14 sign next to it or pointing towards it.

I still say remove the Neofix. It's crap and not needed.

I agree. As FahadSaid said ealier v13+ do not need neofix, only v12 need neofix. So yea try removing neofix first.

I didn't have any fuses lying around, I know its a nono, but I simply jumper'd across the fuse. as noted before, it should normal continuity anyways, but still no red power light, green light won't stay on, no dvd activity at all, no video output at all.
