Is the romeo mod for V10 still necessary when using this chip? And if so, anyone have a link to that? I think it was just changing the laser from 5V to 3.3V or something.

it is needed no matter the chip installed .
amptor: yes all chips including CC1.0 need it.
if you get CC1.1 you don't ned to do that anymore.

Where is more info about the CC1.1? I heard of it but haven't seen it. I got the romeo documents, just need to print those out and keep them with that system.

Yes do it (its a voltage reduction on the coils 12v to 5v) even with a crystal 1.1
Well if the HA wire on the v1.1 does actually fix the bus crash, then why would you want to? Having more juice to the coils will help with reading data better, however if your coils are in poor condition ...... :-pray:Quote:
