hi, is there a possibility to update the firmware or bootmanager through a usb stick? or ipod or cardreader with an inserted sd card?
i have a mega pack cd. if i'd have to use a special program i could install it from there.
if it's not possible i'll just burn a cd...
thx, crash

It depends from where you are starting from.
If your firmware is older than 30, you can't upgrade with USB. You could by host by starting ps2link with SHUTDOWN "MM" in the Run section of the APPINFO.PBT.
If you are starting from 30 or newer, you can by following my tutorial :

Hope this help.

It's possible now with the new releases since software 30. You can install BM now with the App Browser like any other app. FW can be upgraded from USB with the new FW Manager.
