R34 - BM or FW resets after playing game
R34 - BM or FW resets after playing game –
Im new here and i have a problem with the new firmware.
I downloaded the hacked R34 and burned a CD with them.
I started my console with the update-disc in and got a black screen, I then pushed reset 3 times and the disc loaded in recovery mode.
Installed the firmware, updated the BootManager.
When I reseted the console i could play a game (imported guitarhero or backup), but when i reset the console again the BM wont load!
I get the sony logo and i cant start the discs. If i re-update the firmware i may load a game, but just once. It seems the BM or FW is reseting itself.
Am i missing anything here? Im really at a loss for things to try.
Specs of my system:
Bios ROM: v2.20
FW: Hacked R34
(i have also tested FW R33 and burned the image on 4 different discs, same problem)
- The chip has worked properly since i bought the slim ps2 (preinstalled chip).
- The laser haven't shown any trouble with neither backups or originals in the past.
Thanks for any input.

This issue has been reported by others and is being looked into. It should hopefully be resolved with the next release(35).
Ah, cool. I dindn't find any answers stating that.

I believe the problem lies with th BM.
When will the next version be out?
Thanks for your support Crystal!
Always use the firmware corresponding to BM. They are developed conjointly and mixing versions can only cause bugs and bad behavior.
