Quick Gameshark question

I know gameshark doesn't work with burnt games with this modchip, but if I put it in sleep mode and boot the gameshark with an actual PS2 Game will it work?

If your GS and game are both original yes, it wont be any different then a stock (un-modded) PS2 when in sleep mod.
