Problemv with PS2 V4 and CC1.1

Hi to all,
I have some problems with my PS2 V4 and CC 1.1. Ihave followed all the instruction in mounting the chip on PS2 V4, and I installed the hacked firmware V18 and the BM on the memory card.
The problem is that the PS2 don't read any kind of recorded CD /DVD. I've tryed with DVD-R and CD-R without success.
!!So it is impossible for me to install any other firmware!!
I think that with the installation of the firmware in the CC 1.1 my PS2 become more blind in reading the CD end DVD.
Do you know if there are some issues about PS2 v4 and CC1.1 and if there are method to force the reading of the firmware installation CD?

Modded a v9 with the same problem but after the cc19 hacked firm and no BM it worked great

try to clean your laser first. alot of v4 give me that problem. cuz i should read the media not unless you did a bad install or your laser is _ucked

I got some problems too.. i just bought a new PSTwo with an installed cc1.1
and ive installed that v19 hacked firmware and boot manager 1.8.. But i can only boot original games and movies, ive tried with a burned cd-r and a dvd-r but it wont boot them... Whats wrong??? :(

To "woore": The installation is OK because the CC1.1 led blink for 1 sec.
I will try to clean the laser....could you suggest me some techniques to clean the laser?

To "jetcat": The problem is that i can't upgrade my cc1.1 to ver 19 because the PS2 doesn't read any burned CD. Is there a method to delete the c.c1.1 firmware?

Another question: is there a method to format the memory card?

Could anybody help me vith PS2 V4 and CC1.1...??!!??!
