Is it possible to boot backups with the Cystal Chip 1.2 without Bootmanager R18 (didn't get around to updating)? Bootmanager is consuming to much space and I want to be able to save my games. Please, reply.

    sure it is
but then you can't use the patches and fixes BM provides

if you're low on MC space, use LaunchELF to backup some of your saves
you can move them to a usb-pendrive or to your pc via network
that should solve all your space problems

    best regards Jones23

Yep. If you don't use BM the chip will still be active and the backups will boot. But you won't be able to switch between PAL and NTSC or play backups online and things like that.

I have multiple memory cards and only put BM on one of them. I only boot from it if I specifically need a BM feature.
