    Now here's my idea:

A completely changed interface for children. No MC Manager, no App Browser (only "Run App"), no PS1/PS2/DVD software config.
Only themes, autoload, and buttons can be configured, apps can only be loaded from MC1.
I can even provide a way, to make the FW CD enter "Child Safe" installation, when a "Child Safe" BM is discovered on MC 1 or 2.
That way the kids could have their own FW CD, without you having to fear they're destroying the MC and without them knowing they miss some features.

    So, what do you think?

    best regards Jones23

Jones23, it seems that you have abandoned the project, so I took it

    It's only for FW 34.

    Here is the concept :
In the configuration Screen, you can activate the short menus with two options : only run APPs from one device you choose (MC, USB or HDD, or ALL), and define a password (a 3 digit one).
When short menu is activated, you have in the main menu :

    Boot CD
    Run
    System Info
    Configuration
    Reload Menu

If you select Run, the next screen let you choose from which device you want to run your APP (if you limited only to MC, you'll see only MC).
If you select Configuration, the next screen asks for a password if you define one (if you didn't, the configuration screen is directly displayed).

You can get the sources in this post and tell me if it works. You just have to copy the files in the SCRIPT folder of BM with replacement.

I think I'll release this as an Application to facilitate installation as soon as I have time to completely debug it. (I hope you'll give me some feedbacks to help).

And even if nobody wants my modification, it was very interesting for me to try to understand how PBAT script works. And it rocks !

Well, in fact I almost had a release ready at the time I made this poll, but never released it.

Will try your mod as soon as I get some time. The APPINFO installation would be a real good thing.
    And yeah, PBAT definitely rules!

The APP is ready. You'll find it with my ESSENTIAL PACK to facilitate installation (and removal).
There is just one bug I'm about to fix, don't install the APP twice without removal between, as you'll loose the original files.
