Please help!

Hello.

I've decided to purchase a modchip. My mind is currently on Crystal Chip 2.0 PRO. I looked around and found out that it cannot play burnt/backed up games and then I found a hacked version of the firmware. What I wanted to know was that, is it a good chip to play backed up games? If yes, where can I find this chip? I live in Canada would like the site/person from Canada as well (easier shipping).

Also, does the chip come with wires + soldering iron and sauter? I'm new at this and I would like all the info possible. I have a SCPH 39001 V7 machine.

Oh, I can solder. I've done it before so I don't see that as a problem but I need to know where to purchase it and if it comes with everything that I asked above.

No chip gets delivered with a soldering iron. Some come with wires, but the CC is only the chip, nothing else.
You will need really good soldering skills, not like "I modded my PS1, so I can solder everything". The PS2 is really hard to solder.

The CC2.0 is the best modchip money can buy. You could ask Jit http://psx-scene.com/forums/members/jit/ where to get it.

I installed a dms4pro myself and also moved it to another console, also the early slimps2 hard drive install. Id suggest you use a multimeter to check your install and for areas where you think you might have gotten to close to bridging. Before your first boot check all wires from ps2 to modchip. Also I have found a way around soldering in hard places, use a multimeter and try and follow the track to a easyer nearby point if it comes to a via or hole kynar wires fits in the hole perfect. I installed my dms4pro and only solderd a few points , but dont do it my way use solder on all points.

ps multimeter!!! (It saved my ps2 many times)

I can get it from foundmy.com, but I need to know where to get wires from. I can get solder + soldering iron from somewhere but I'm not sure what wires to get. And, what chronicle said.
