Now what? –
So I ordered a Crystal Chip Pro 2.0 SLE this weekend it should be here by the end of the week. I was poking around some of the installation guides for the chips and noticed most of them say to flash with hacked BIOS rather then BIOS offered through CC?s website, as CC doesn?t offer full functionality on their own chips. I don?t see why they wouldn?t but that?s beside the point, I?m going to assume that I will in fact need to use hacked BIOS. Is it best to use the boot manager or maybe other software (I?ve been following the ARGON project fairly close.) Maybe I have it wrong and those sorts of applications are used along side the boot manager.
I?ve a stock 40gb Sony HDD right now but I?ve been working on fixing a spare 120gb I have sitting around, if I get that working then I?ll be swapping it out with the stock 40. My real question is this; after I install the CC-pro 2.0 SLE what?s next. Yes I mean BIOS and FLASH wise but I also mean more then that. What?s this chips full potential? I?d love to be able to add something like SNES 9x or something comparable on my hard drive and play some of my old SNES games, maybe even play some of my PS1 backups. Maybe finally get around to helping ?User? and his crew with the testing of ARGON.
Things on my ?todo? list:
1 Swap for a larger HDD
2 Get the system online (no hard wire net relatively close ? 200 feet or more)
*most likely go with Wi-Fi, though this house might as well be made of lead
3 Maybe a case mod, (non flip top)
PS2: SCPH 50001 3C (v9) with network adapter (stock components thus far until the Crystal Chip Pro 2.0 SLE gets here)
Playstation 2: SCPH-50001 3C
Network Adapter : 40Gb Sony HDD
