If the memorycard is brand new you must "format" it first.
How do I format it?
Nevermind, thanks for the info, I got it to work! However, the official bootmanager from the website didn't work, I had to use the homebrew version of the bootmanager and firmware.
My last question is how do I set it for 16:9? I play on my widescreen plasma, and how do I skip the crystal chips boot manager and launch directly into the game when first inserting a disc and powering on, or how can I get the ps2 symbols instead?
Thanks again guys
For the other Crystal newbies out there: alot of your problems can be fixed if you use Bootmanager, just fiddle with the options and you'll learn.
The Bootmanager is preset to boot the game if you don't press any buttons on the controller after 3 secs with the game already inserted.
There is no way to skip the Bootmanager screen if you want to use it. You can still boot games without the BM but you won't be able to use the modchip's features (i.e. PAL compatiblity). To do this move, the MC that has BM installed to MC slot 2 as BM autoboots if the modchip detects BM on MC slot 1. This will also give you the PS2 symbols on boot as BM was not loaded.
As for the 16:9 aspect ratio, that is game dependent. Some games will let you set that in the options others won't have that option.
And you are a n00b!Don't be offended, it's just a playful tease.
