I just got the chip and a ps2 slim.
installing now.
whats with the manual? or lack there of?
contains no details whatso ever.
does not mention ps2 slim anywhere. so I "followed" the manuals pictures. because they looked basically similar to the ps2 slim i have.
huh? they dont have diagrams for ps2 slims on that link that was emailed to me.
also, some of the solders such as the A where you must solder the little chip thing. do you solder the whole little chip covering it or just the right or left side of it?

1.1
i believe the 75001 one... i think the manual they sent me was for v12
however it is almost identical. except for the HA.
ah so either side of thew chip will do?
also I used the ground and power that they specify in v12. which is different from that v15 diagram I just saw...
Thanks

Will Crystal Chip allow me to play copied (aka "backups") or import games?
Crystal Chip will not allow you to play copied or import games. While it does allow you to read "burned" media discs, we have specifically designed our software patches to disallow the execution of game discs. There are 2 main reasons for this. The first reason is that in many countries, it is illegal to play copied and/or import game discs even if you own the original disc. The second reason is that Crystal Chip is intended for legally launching "homebrew" software. Due to the aforementioned legal problems, we felt it best to keep any questionably-legal features out of the Crystal Chip design so as not to become confused with so-called "modchip" devices which have been deemed illegal in some countries. While we understand that many people use these devices to legitimately back up their game discs or play import software which is not available in their region, we also respect the fact that different people are subjected to different laws in regard to consumer rights.
$%$#%$% i cant play copied games? wth?
