new pstwo slim diagrams
new pstwo slim diagrams –
hi, i just purchased a new ps2 slim SCPH-77001 CB and the motherboard
of this one is GH-052-02, i want to install a crystal chip pro 2.0 on it, but it
seems there are no diagrams for this one at all, can anyone help?
thanx for the reply man, my board looks "almost" the same as 15a, all the points are there man, though some electrical components not in the same location, but all the soldering points look the same.
yesterday, i soldered following the 15a diagram, i was able to pass the bios test successfully, but when i connected the cdvd points( witch are damn hard to solder) i could not see anything, until i press restart 6 times and i force it to sleep, then the ps2 boots, still the LED test blinks for one seconds witch means the the bios wires at least are ok. maybe i messed some of the other wires, i dont knwo man.
but the important question i have for you is: since you suggested me that my board is 15a or 15b, have you heard about my new board gh-052-02? have you heard of successeful installation? if not, you think there going to be a diagram for it?
i ll try to resolder the other points, but please, leave some feedback if you can.
oh yeah, I have installed more then a few of these boards, in fact I have one in front of my as we speak. This board has been out for a few months now. Here is a past working install
That is a 051 but the 052 is just the same. If you would like I will post the pic of the one in front of my when I'm done.
yeah, thanx man, i appreciate your time,
yeah please post your picz and specially the ones of the CDVD points, i would
appreciate any advise you could me to complete the installation.
as i said i passed the bios test, so you think the problem is with the CDVD points or the bios?
Here ya go
Its working great BTW
thanx man, but i m so jaleous!!! ur an expert son!!
man, help me, what could have i done wrong?
any suggestion, cause i m sure it s those tiny CDVD points that are the problems, i can see from ur installation, that they are will tined, did u have to use something to make them a little Deep so solder can fit in? please help man.
by the way i see the position of the SX wire on ur installation different then the one on the installation diagram for V15a? how is that? can u post the diagram u used to mod the GH-052-02 or a link?
Boy I really wish the ccwiki was WORKING!!!! A tutorial outlining all this is there.
Anyway scrap the via with a X-acto knife to remove the lacquer, exposing solderable copper. If you use the knife technique be very careful not to damage the via or the traces. I actually use a fiberglass pen to remove the lacquer. Then put a small amount of flux paste on the via. Then put a small amount of solder on the tip of your iron and touch the via with the solder on the tip of your iron. The solder should take to the via. Then tin your 30AWG kynar, then take that tinned wire and dab it into your flux now place the tinned/fluxed wire over your tinned via. Touch the iron to the tinned/fluxed wire and the solder on the via and the iron should bond.
thanx man, but one more thing, i saw that the position of the SX point is dieffrent then the one on the diagram for a v15a, this is the diagram for the v15a that look like my board :
and i saw that the SX point on that diagram does not match what you posted on the picture, also it has different ground and power points0
can you please refer me or post the diagram u used to mod the GH-052-02?
I used that same diagram bud!!! There are many alt. points and yes I used a alt. pwr. gnd. and sx. point.
I think this is from a V14 but you will get the idea.
