im stuck, i've looked around the forum, and the net, for afew days, no good, i really need help.
i can transfer any ps2 game to my ps2 with hdl dump when ps2's in HDLD SVR mode.
but i cannot install or run any .elf file with pchost.
    here's what i did:

    in boot manager,
    1-started network.
    2-started pchost server.
    then in my pc,
    3-started ps2client loader.
4-put "BM" and "DEVS" folders from my pc hdd to ps2client loader's box (the bm/devs folders from yoc's essential pack 1.2 fw34).
5-put "ESSENTIAL_PACK_1.2_fw34" folder to the box also just in case.
6-clicked "start", the circle image went green.
    then back in boot manager,
7-selected "application browser", "install", then "pchost".
nothing in the list, total empty.
    8-selected "run", then "pchost", nothing.
    also nothing in "device manager".

firewall's off, and forwarded the port in my router (it's fine, i can use hdl dump no problem).
ps2 ip's 192.168.0.10 (same as HDLD SVR, so it should be fine), should i edit "primary DNS server" (in "network configuration") to my ips address?
what is wrong? am i missing something?
guess ccwiki has an info i need but it's down.

i tried with launchelf, same thing, no good, nothing in the directory of "host"'s.

Better start the PS2Client manually in the folder where the BM folder is located. I guess BM doesn't like the way Ps2ClientLoader passes directories. Open a DOS window, change to the correct folder and start PS2Client with: ps2client -h 192.168.0.10 listen

The DNS server is only needed for internet, so you don't need to configure it.

    best regards Jones23

EDIT: I attached the correct version of PS2Client needed by BM. You can use the listen.bat to start it (open it with an editor and change the IP address first).

    Glad I could help you.
With the exec command you can start most apps via network, when ps2link is running on your ps2. It's a great way of testing script changes in BM, I always use it for debugging.
