Media Read Errors

Hello,

I recently purchased a premodded ps2 and am having some issues. My slim v15 with Crystal Chip 1.2 (fw .29) boots selectively some ps2 titles and media (sometimes the same media works for one game and not another). When loading PSX originals and backups, neither work - I hear background sound but see no video.

When loading ps2, it either loads, or it jams at a black screen. PSX titles also freeze at a black screen selectively. Any ideas? Thanks!

Just an update - even in the disabled/hardware sleep mode, psx originals cannot be read. Some PS2 originals are unreadable as well.... This was apparently brand new too, so I do not see how it could be the laser?

The PSX problem was a result of the video cable I had not working with them for some reason (3rd party). Now I just have issues where random discs will not read. This is odd to me since they are Taio Yuden TYG02 and TYG03 media, as well as Ritek G04...
