i soldered my cc2.0 to my ps2 slim last night (v14b g-040-52) and was confused by the mod-chip.com manual as to where the points of the modchip connected to the mobo. my first test after everything booted up the ps2 homescreen, sound is fine, but the animation with the spheres orbiting around freezes right at the very beginning when they first come together before splitting apart again. So basically, theres just a black screen, with a purple ball in the center and i can still use my browse function. Also, my ps2's drive doesnt spin anymore.
Any suggestions?

Welcome the the world of CrystalChip!
First, I would suggest you use the official manuals at http://www.crystal-chips.com/documen.../cc11_v14b.jpg
Most likely your problem is caused by wires A-I or "HA".

I had a similar problem last night when installing CC2.0 into my V12 PS2. The unit booted up but the drive just didn't spin. It turns out I did not push one of the ribbon cables all of the way back into the slot. The motor ribbon cable is the white one nearest to the spindle (the middle of the unit).
