Instalation problem

I can't install any upgrade 30 and 31 ..... in recovery mode i got a frezze when the cd launch a the logo .....

Annyone ??? i have a 14v ps2slimline and my chip is a 1.2 lite ..

Install 29 again, make sure everything is working correct, then boot 30 in recovery mode.
The freeze on the splash screen sound like a bad burned CD or poor quality media to me.

i used the same cd for burning the 29 .... no problem i tried to install again the 29 like u say and it freeze when i boot the 30 in recovery mode it is possible the chip is not soldered correctly ??? thx

I don't think so because the 29 works well.
What model of PS2 is it ? Do you have a hard drive ?

i have a v14 slim, so no harddrive .. thats make me creazy i ruined four cd-r :(

Same for me. I burned the 29 and it works. But burning the 30 or 31 makes it freeze (or screen becomes black sometimes too). Always works with 29, but nothing else. Same media and same burner is used for all versions.

thats wont work am sure, because i got a NTSC console ... annyways the 29 still work ..

Do you have a current BM installed? If so, then you need to try the recovery mode to see if that will help you with the new BM & firmware. If not, then no need to use recovery mode. What brand name media are you using? Just curious! I know you said you're using the same media but still liked to know! Thanks! :rant:
