i need help please..

hey i'm new with this so please can someone help me out .... i have a v4 ps2 with a cc2.0 installed but it seems to have a problem. when i turn it on it goes straight into the browser screen. it seems like everything is fine but when load in the bm cd ... its says (disc error ) and then whe try to put in a normal ps2 game it reads it but then takes me back to the same screen ....so i dont know if i connected the right wires but i ran the test with the LED LIGHT and it went on for about a sec then it turn off (which i think is suppose to happen)....the only wires that i did't connect were the F,G,SD (not sure if i need to connect) so if someone can help me with this, so i can get started playing some burn games,and emulators)
