hello, my ps2v12 has crystal 1.1. but it doesnt play any cds. nothing happends. If i put a firmware cd in the ps2 the screen turns just black. what can be the problem? can it be the laser fix ?

Did you install the chip yourself? Is the console new or used? Did it ever work that you know of?

You can disable the crystal chip by pressing the reset button 3 times (I am not 100% sure if it was 3 or 6 times. Please search the forum to confirm).

3 times for off and 6 times to clear the memory .. Try taking anoter cc chip and swap them out ive had this problem b4 with a v14 but swaped chip and works fine and also the used chip in a fat syste... Who know ..

i had a professional person install the chip for me, but it can play music cds, so the laser cant be the problem,
but the playstation is not new, it worked perfectly before i installed the cchip,

it culd be the laser fix i say take it back to your Pro he shuld charge you $00.00 to look at it and see what the problem is..

okej, i can take away my laserfix, no problems,
but, do ju need to use all the GRD points in the crystal chip, on my chip the´s only 2 points used!
