Ok im new to the installation/flashing firmware/bootmanager etc. I had a local installer that did my slim PS2 with a Crystal Chip and he was good and cool as hell (Cool as hell.. Hmm that doesn't make sense. But he was cool) He is no longer around so now its my turn to start messing with my Crystal Chip.

I guess one of the kids pressed the Reset 3 times and wiped the mod so now I have to reflash the mod. I read up on Crystals website and it has instructions on how to do it. My thing is according to there website there firmware will not allow you to play imports not backups. I want to play my imports and my back ups but if I flash with what is on Crystals website I will not have the ability.
Now another question does it matter what vesion of chip I have installed on my PS2? If so how can I tell which one I have and with what should i flash it with (Where can I get the firmware to flash it with).

Thanks to anyone that can help...

You will want to look in this thread here for the answer to your first question. After you have loaded revision 19, then in the "System Information" menu, you can see the BIOS version and HW revision. If you crack it open, the visible noticable difference between v1.0 and v1.1 is that the v1.1 has an LED on it.
