Thanks, but the problem is that when I insert a disk with BM that I downloaded from the CC site, it starts to run , shows the logo of the site and then nothing , the PS2 is freezing and I have to reset.
any ideas what to do?

Try the hacked R29 release found in the sticky in this section. Also when booting the R29 CD-R upgrade disc try booting it in recovery mode.

two questions :1. from the v29 disk can I install only the BM,without updating the firmware?
2. what is recovery mode and how to initiate it?

As a good common practice, whenever you are installing either BM or FW you should just install both that are on the disc. This way you will know you have the right FW to go with the right BM and vice versa.
To enable recovery mode, this your console in standby tap reset 3 times with about a 1 second delay between taps. When in recovery mode the console wont boot anything other then the upgrade disc, not even originals.
Let us know how it goes.
