How do I???? –
07-07-2007,05:22 PM
I have a v15 ntsc ps2 with a crystal chip v 1.2
I want to be able to play games on the net.
I do not have a router
I do however have 2 NICs in my PC
My cable modem is plugged directly into my pc
I have linked 2 PCs together before using internet connnection sharing software that allows 2 PCs to connect to the net via i cable modem using 2 NICs. one PC to PC and the other PC to modem.
however the software has to be installed on both PCs
is there a way to run an ethernet cable from my PS2 to a NIC on my PC so I can share the same internet connection? but without installing the sharing software which obviously cant be installed on the PS2
Thanks in advance

With windows you don't need a sharing software, all you have to do is enable the sharing of the i-net connection via LAN in the network settings on the PC connected to the modem.
That way you can also connect the PS2 to that PC, without having to use additional software.

It is called ICS that is Internet Connection Sharing... you gotta enable that...
