Hi, I just installed a cc 2.0 yesterday on a v14 040-52 board. I tested it it worked great. Today I turned the system on, nothing black screen only( not even sony browser). I thought maybe it was a solder issue so I checked my points they were all good. I removed the bois wires and the power wire to the chip to see if the ps2 would boot without the chip. I got the same thing turns on but black screen. Anyone have any ideas what is wrong???

Can you hear the opening sounds at all? Sounds to me like you may have some solder left on the BIOS points. I know you've already checked this but I would check again.

Hi, actually no I don't hear anything. The chip is off, the solder removed from the solder points. When I plug in the power cable the light on the ps2 is red, I turn it on the light goes green, but the screen says no signal. I have tested the cable with another ps2 so I know the cable isn't the problem. Any ideas what could cause this. i have a v12 fuse diagram so I used that as a reference for the fuse s on the v14(because I can't find any v14 fuse diagrams). Is there a specific fuse that might be causing this, weird thing is it was working perfectly the day before.

Unfortunately I don't know much about console repair itself, only when it comes to problems related to the chip. I think you may be right about there being a blown fuse, but I couldn't say which. I'm sure someone somewhere has the answers though. Sorry I couldn't be more help!
