I have burnt the upgrade cd hacked v34 ... For some reason it will not let me flash the chip .... it comes up and says it flashed successfully ... but the fact it takes only 3 seconds to do this would tell me it is not working. Also the chip is still at ver1.2 ..... since I installed the chip about a year ago I have never flashed it ( yes it has worked fine ) ... But I would like to upgrade to the lastest flash .... Is there a wire in the install that might be wrong ?? Odd the chip has worked flawlessly ( except for the no flash ) ..... I think it came flashed from the dealer I bought it from ..... Any ideas ???
Can a Mod please move this ..... As I had a little problem trying to post it ... I ended up getting it in the wrong forum ... Sorry ....

The CrystalChip Version that you see is the hardware version. There is no way to tell what firmware version is on the flash at this time.

It is correct that upgrading on a 1.2 will only take about 3 seconds. If you do not get an error message, it was correctly flashed.

This has been requested before, it may be that we integrate this in the future but it's a low priority.

I'm glad you resolved your problem and I hope you enjoy your CrystalChip.

I've just finished implementing the version information so future versions of BM and firmware will allow you to see the version of firmware your chip has. This will only work if your firmware is Release 35 or newer, however.

LOL, man CC... if this was a low priority and got taken care of the same day, I wonder how long a high priority fix would take.

    Great job CC

That is great news ... and yes I am enjoying the Crystal chips I have ... I will be in the process of putting another 6-10 into PS2s for Friends ... I used to use the DMS ... but they are the ' Modiest ' chips I have ever dealt with ... Time to switch everything over to Crystal .... Thanks again for the great help .. and keep up the good work !!
