Try using these methods... first try updating the firmware with the first download(1st download)..if that does'nt work then try updating the firmware with the second download, if that also does'nt work then with the first download, unzip it and then unzip the third download (the crack) in the files directory in which you unzipped the firmware(1st download)...
one of these methods should work..

    1st Download:
    http://crystal-chips.com/main/conten...28/43/lang,en/
download Crystal Chip Firmware Release 19

    2nd Download:
    attachment named "cc_firmware_hacked_019_bin.zip (363.8 KB)"

    3rd Download:
    attachment named "cc1.1 crackFirmware.zip (6.2 KB)"

i know you'll be bugged but these methods should work

    Thx

First off I wanna say thanks to xmod for your help. And secondly what exactly did you do gixermannn? I have a v12 with the latest firmware applied (19) and can't get ANY psx games to play. They will boot but beyond that is a black screen. Tomba 2 boots and shows the "Sony America" presents screen and then the screen goes black. Any help you guys can other would be much appreicated. Btw I tried all three fixes. Maybe I'm doing the third fix wrong I dunno.

no probs gixer and skeezicks, we all are here to help you..

i am sure that you tried the first two methods correctly... but you said that they dont seem to work... then the third fix... download the firmware from the link above and then download the 3rd download... now unzip the firmware to an empty folder on your computer, similarly unzip the 3rd download to the same folder...if it asks for overwriting anything then click "yes to all" and u're donw tih it... now try updating the firmware... if thats the same thing that you did with no luck then gimme some time... i'll reasearch some other other way for ya...

Okay, I downloaded both zips again. I unzipped the first one and copied over bootmenu.pbt and osdhook.s in folder one. Ran makeit and burned the cd. Upgraded firmware and pushed reset then....nothing. I seemed like that firmware upgrade was corrupt. I had to push reset 6 times to get to cd to boot. So I could flash and try again. Same thing. Please let me know if you have anymore ideas. Thanks.

N/m guys thanks for all your help. The prob was I was burning the games too fast. I thought 16x would be slow enough but I guess the laser only likes 8x and below. Thanks for all your help.
