Help with PSX games and CC1.1

Hi guys, I am having problems booting my PSX backups with CC1.1 and BM 1.8 hacked. I put in my PSX backup and it sees it is a Playstation Game and shows the black disc. So I press Boot Media then it boots it but all I see is a black screen! I have tried several different backups and all have the same results! Please help me I want to play my Breath of Fire 4

if you are sure your sx point is good and the games try flashing the chip with the 1.6 hack

remove the memory card and boot them with out Boot Manager.

Ok I did that and it boots! But there is no PSX logo and a black screen for more than 10 seconds and the eject light flashes once but then it is perfectly fine. Thanks Spedmetal, also do I have to use the Toxic Dual Layer Patcher to boot DVD9 Games?

Yeah the CC eliminates the PSX and PS2 logo's on boot. The 10 second thing is the chip detecting the media. The eject light blinking is the chip booting into PSX mode and booting the disc over.

Do I have to use the Toxic Dual Layer patcher for DVD9 games? It still supports multi disc PSX/PS2 games also right?

                    many DVD+R DL medias are not very good quality and result in movies skipping and games
                    crashing on occasion.  This is not something we can fix but hopefully as DVD+R DL becomes
                    more popular the quality of the medias will improve.

Is it normal for retail PSX discs to not boot when using the bootmanager
Because I just tried doing that and I also got a black screen
