Help with PS2 V12 and crystal chip firmware 19

Hey guys i had a guy from newagepsx install my Crystal Chip. When he tested ity out it booted up a game right away. I get home and i tried booting like 5 different games but none of them worked. I even had him replace my Lens. Well i tried all different kinds of media, except DVD+R, i tried Verbatim's, Sony's, and Memorex's and still nodda. Well exactly not nodda cause they booted like 5% of the time. I tried burning the games using Alcohol, DvdDecryptor and Nero and i got the same results. I checked the cables, they all are hooked up correctly. I tried the old lens, same thing. BTW I have a Pioneer DVR A08-XL with the 1.20 firmware. I dont know if this makes a diffetrence, just thought u might need to know. Well guys do u know whats wrong?

Did you burn them at the slowest speeds?
