Help With Crystal Chip 2.0 not working
Help With Crystal Chip 2.0 not working –
My crystal chip 2.0 stopped workin. And my ps2 turned back like it was normal. But now it dont even play orginal games.
Then i found out that, how it could run normal games again, if I pushed reset 6x on loading screen, and it worked..
Now i downloaded a update: cc_software_hacked_033_bin
And burned the .cue image to a CD.
Everything worked well, until I tried to get into the recovery.
Pushed the reset 3x with update/CD inserted, and it didnt work.
Tried again, and again, still nothing?!
Have I done something wrong? fake update? missing something?
Need help, want to play
Looks like the CCs flash memory erased itself, which can happen from time to time. Installing firmware and Bootmanager again should solve that problem.
If you have a CC 2.0pro (1MB flash) then I recommend the hacked firmware R29, if it's a 2.0SLE (2MB flash) then use R34. Both can be found here on the forum.
To burn it to CD, I'd recommend ImgBurn (freeware). Load the cue file with it and fire it up, you can't do anything wrong with that.
Try to load it normally in the PS2 and if that doesn't work try it with recovery mode.

Now you are telling me that you are:

Finaly, there is a newer one than R29, and its R34... but i dont need that if R29 work on both..
yeah. I would go with installed R34 it will work on both
R29 doesn't support the 2MB flash, so better go for R34, which definitely supports all CCs.
There are two ways to find out which chip you have. Either open your PS2 and take a look at the chip, or install R34 (FW and BM) and then try to install something additional to the CCs flash like a homebrew app or a theme. If you can install it you have a SLE with 2MB, if you can't then it's a Pro with 1MB.

Okay okay guys, now you really sure that i should go for the R34? And it work with both?
