Hear normal boot up sound, but no video...
Just installed a CC 2.0 on v15 ps2 (this board # doesn't even have a diagram because it is really new, but I was told to use the v15a diagram, which does look the same).
Anyhow, as always I inspected my bios points with a 15x magnifying glass. Everything looked good.
Ran the pin test on my cd/dvd points, multiple times.
Did normal (point a to point b) test on ground and power points, they are fine.
And I did the chip test without any cd or dvd, to check the chips led. When I hit power, the chips green light goes on for about 4 or 5 seconds, then goes off.
So I figured everything was good.
Still frustrated from blowing a fuse after an install the other day (which I still can't figure out why it happened, was was very meticulous with that install as well), I couldn't believe I ran into this problem...
Problem is, like I said, I start up and I hear the opening normal ps2 boot jingle, but see nothing on screen, it just flickers for a sec. Tried putting in an original game to see if I could blindly navigate or hear other sounds from the game to see if there was just purely a video problem, but I get nothing.
I heard the hacked v34 cd spin up, but thats about it, but I know the cd is at least spinning.
Can anyone help?
I checked to make sure everything was good so many times before I even powered up the console that I know all is well. And the led test apparently passed.
The install looks clean and good, wires are short from point a to b. I just don't know what else to do.
Frustrated!
