OK, I have finished installing my CC 2.0 and flashing firmware and installing "BM". I can and have booted original games as well as backups. I even navigated my way around the HWSM and recovery mode, all is well. However, I cannot see my hard drive. I downloaded Ulaunch and HDL.elf to usb drive, but my unit does not see my usb drive. I have looked at tutorials on the web but none make any since to me. I know I need to put a partition on my hard drive but I don't know how. My unit does not see my usb and I can't find download or have not done correctly so I can install from disk. Can some one PLEASE give me some step by step instructions? This is Sooo agrivating, but strangly it is fun at the same time.

Some of the USB drives are not recognized by BootManager. Download T H I S and install ULaunchElf from this CD. After that start ULaunchELF and create a new partition named "Crystal" using the HDDManager of ULE. Your USB drive should be recognized by ULE.

Your USB drive has to be formated in FAT or FAT32. Some drives are only recognized when formated in FAT32. Some drives are not supported at all by the PS2's USB drivers. The latest uLE and BM are using the same USB driver, it's just a bit modified in uLE, so your thumbdrive is most likely not supported by uLE too. But you can use older drivers with uLE. Get them in the "release thread for uLE support files": http://www.psx-scene.com/forums/showthread.php?t=46447

Detailed instructions about app installation and network installation can be found on the CC Wiki: http://ccwiki.psx-scene.com/index.php/Main_Page

Did you make an APPINFO.PBT? And do you have the correct setup on your USB drive? You have to make a BM folder and inside that an APPS folder. The apps you want to install have to be in there, inside a subfolder together with an APPINFO.PBT. Read more about that on the Wiki.

  4. #4 HDDManager?

Where is the HDDManager in ULE? I've been poking around but am unable to find it. I've also looked through the forums here but no one has mentioned where it is inside ULE.

My goal is to use HDDManager to format my drive.

You didn't look under MISC in the Filebrowser, right?
