Hacked firmware upgrade
Hacked firmware upgrade –
12-02-2006,06:57 PM
Hello.
I installed a CC1.2 on a v12 PS2 and flashed the CC with an old firmware version I had (hacked offcourse), but It didnt work and showed me a red screen...
I wanna upgrade to the latest version of the hacked firmware, do I need to do something special before I re-flash it with the new hacked firmware or just flash the CC and everything will be OK?
BTW, I just wanna make sure, the CC1.1 & CC1.2 sloders the same right?
couse I didnt see any blueprints of the CC1.2
P.S, I saw you talking about BM and FM and doin FM before doin BM and all kinda stuff like that....
I figured that BM is bootmanager, but whats "FM"? not radio for sure...
Thanks alot,
Un4get.

Upgrading the firmware should be no problem, but if it still shows the red screen of death (RSOD), there might be something wrong with the installation. DVD-patch I guess.
The solder diagrams apply to CC1.1, 1.2 and 2.0, so you have the right one.
FM should rather be FW which means firmware, I guess that was a typo.

Okay, In your signutare there's a link to download a FM update version 29, I downloaded it in order to install it on the CC1.2 (btw, the 1.1 hacked firmware also works with the 1.2 crystal chip?) and I just cant seem to upgrade the CC with the hacked firmware I D/L from your signutare... any idea y?
I need the latest Hacked firmware (if it not a trouble to you...) for my cc1.2 chip.
After i burnt the cd and put it in the V12 PS2 console I had a screen that i had 3 choices, neither of them worked, it just didnt do anything no matter what I clicked on...
Thanks alot,

There's only one release for all CC versions, should work fine with your CC1.2.
There should be 4 choices after booting the disc:
Install BootManager
Upgrade Firmware
Memory Card Manager
System Information
If there was no response when clicking the entries, I'd say it's a bad burn. Try to burn it again and as slow as possible. The faster you burn, the more errors you get.
