what version ps2 do you have
I have the slim-one. with the cc 1.1 firmware .19 hacked.
havent had much to do with cc chips so not sure if they need a colour fix but if they do, that could be your problem.

Lol, if you havent found out yet.
Let me tell you, if you are using a PAL playstation, and you want to play NTSC, it will show non-color.
Because NTSC is the format of USA, Japan etc. runs on.
If you have a PAL game and stick it into a NTSC playstation 2. It will also have non color.
The way to fix this, is to buy a RBG cabel or something like that.
It fixes the color, and you can play both NTSC & PAL on that cabel.
Even on a PAL playstation.
Or you could just go into boot manager, go to "Configuration" then select "Enhancement Configuration" select "PS2 Software" go to the "NTSC Software Video Fixes" turn that "On" change "Force Video Mode" to "PAL" and "Force Color" to Pal. You can do much the same in the PS1 Software section.
