Do import games work with Crystal Chip?

I know it says in the FAQ that it doesnt but i found a store close to my town that can chip your PS2 with CC. And on their site it says CC starts PS2 / PS1 Import games but need BIOS update tp start backups. Since i just got my FFXII copy from japan i either need Swap Magic or a chip. So does this chip work with import games?

The CC plays no backups or imports with the original firmware.
But there always is a hacked version of every official release.

And now guess what the hacked version can.

And since lately, you don't even have to burn a CD anymore, cause you can update the chip via network.

I must really congratulate you on your choice. The CC is an awesome chip and the BootManager the most customizable app ever!
The CC team had some trouble in the past, but that's not gonna happen again.
They're back, better than ever and on their way straight to the top.
The new upcoming CC2.0pro will rock, that's for sure.

And I really understand you're in a hurry. FF is my favorite too, I have it here, but I can't stand those jap writing.

I'm still waiting for the US release... sigh
