Delete bootmanager from memory card?

I haven't chipped my PS2 yet (i'm thinking about it though) but I'm wondering if it's prossible to delete bootmanager and all the programs you can install with it? The guys that are installing the chip for me says they install bootmanager on the memory card. I want bootmanager but I don't want any other programs... I just want to play backups. But is it possible to delete bootmanager and programs installed to the memory card? Do you just boot the PS2 without a disc and delete it in the memory card browser?

u can always delete stuff on your memory card... so, yes.

the files will probebly show up as "corrupted data". but it will probebly work to delete them that way.


if i were you i would have keeped the bootmanager.
almost everbody start of thinking that they only want to play backups thru discs. but after some time most people start to understand the benefits of hdloader,SMS mediaplayer etc... but thats just my opinion.

Indeed, why not use all the features of your chip? u can do so much cool things with it.

And who doesn't want HDLoader ?

already have an xbox for movies etc. i'm just worried it will take up too much memory on my card... that's all.

there's an option to delete the entire boot folder inside of BM.

if you just go into the memory card most stuff will show as corrupted data so you wont know what your deleting.
start bootmanager and it will show you a list of installed applications and give you the option to delete what you dont want, that way you know what your deleting
